JAMMU, Sept 22: Janipur Police today arrested a man under POCSO Act.
Acting on a complaint lodged at Police Station Janipur by one person stating that his minor daughter went missing from his home, a case FIR number 42/2022 u/s 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
To crack the case, special teams of Police Station Janipur under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar were constituted. The team led by SHO Janipur Inspector Ajaz Haider with the help of CDR location of the suspect generated the input regarding the suspect being at UP. Finally, special team of Police Station Janipur led by PSI Anil Kumar traced the girl and arrested the accused namely Amar son of Azhar Mian, resident of Mohalla Sadar, Sahabad district Rampur (UP) from Sahabad.
During further investigation of the case, it came to fore that the accused left the girl at Saharanpur railway station from where the girl contacted her family. After which police teams traced the girl from Saharanpur and brought her to Jammu where girl was medically examined at Government Hospital Sarwal, Jammu. Subsequently, an offence u/s 376 IPC, 3/4 POCSO Act was added in the instant case.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
