NEW DELHI, Oct 5: Freight rates for nine tonne pay load section declined upto Rs.1000 in the local truck transport market today following huge position of trucks in the markets against cargo movements.
Transporters said heavy availability of lorry against cargo movements mainly pulled down freighter rates.
Delhi to Chennai, Pondicherry, Truvananthapuram and Kochi rates moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 63,000, Rs 68,000, Rs 74,000 and Rs 79,000.
Rates to Vijaywada, Surat, Pune and Guwahati also fell by Rs.1000 each to Rs.57,000, Rs.28,000, Rs.31,000 and Rs.54,000.
