PATNA, Oct 5: Altogether, 12 people were killed and 15 injured when lightning struck them in different districts of the State today.
Reports reaching here from Aurangabad said that four children were killed and the other one was injured when lightning struck them at Barwa village under Fesar police station area when lightning struck them.
The children were playing when the incident took place.
In another incident at Aurangabad, two farmers died on the spot as lightning struck them while they were working in field.
Report from Supaul said that three people including head master of a school were killed while 12 sustained injuries in a similar incident at Bary village under Supaul police station area.
According to report from Jamui, three people including a woman died on the spot and two sustained injuries when lightning struck them at Rampur village under Khaira police station area.
All the victims were working in the field when the incident took place. (UNI)
