JAMMU, Sept 29: Dr KD Multi Speciality Hospital Marble Market Trikuta Nagar organised a free ‘Heart Check-up Camp’ in the Hospital premises on the occasion of ‘World Heart Day’ and dedicated it to Maharaja Hari Singh, here today.
The camp was inaugurated by Ritu Singh with the aim of promoting health awareness among the public and offering them easy access to quality healthcare, where more than 200 people visited and availed the camp offered specialist consultations by Dr Najmus Saqib, Senior Consultant Cardiology.
The free facilities provided in the camp were free blood sugar, BP, free ECG, free TMT and free ECHO.
Dr Najmus Saqib said that heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide and the theme for this year’s heart day is use heart for every heart. “As a developing nation our focus on prevention of cardiac disease is yet not there and awareness about heart disease is still lacking. With this camp we want to spread awareness about heart disease and its prevention and management,” said Dr Saqib.
Ritu Singh welcomed the initiative of the Hospital in organising the camp and the same was dedicated to Maharaja Hari Singh. In her address, she said that such camps are beneficial for the general public and requested such camps should be organised periodically.
Dr Sumit Sharma, CEO of the Hospital also assured that these camps will be organized periodically. The initiative has been very well appreciated by everyone.
He also added that the Hospital is empanelled with Aayushman Bharat Yojana Scheme and other TPA companies have conducted more than 250 surgeries in a span of two months under Aayushman Scheme and TPA.
Harsh Bindra (Marketing Head), all the Department heads, nurses and staff members were present during the camp.
