23 bovines rescued, 5 smugglers nabbed

POONCH, Sept 29: The police rescued 23 bovine animals and arrested five smugglers in Surankote area of district Poonch last night.
Official sources said that on the directions of SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra, the police teams headed by DySP Surankote, Tanveer Jeelani, SHO Rahveer Singh, Incharge Police Post Behramgalla SI, Sushant Singh, established Naka at Behrmagalla, Panar and Bufliaz areas.
During checking the police nabbed five bovine smugglers namely- Ishfaq Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Khablan, Tehsil Thannamandi in Rajouri; Fareed Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Khablan; Asad Ali, son of Mudassar Aali, resident of Kaller Katal Poonch; Mohd Shafaqat, son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Gunthal in Poonch; Mohd Ayaz, son of Mohd Shabir, resident of Khanetar in Poonch and seized three vehicles Tata Mobile, bearing registration numbers JK12C- 1120, JK11B- 9801 and JK12C- 2406, which were on way to Kashmir.
The police registered five FIRs No 325/2022, 326/2022 , 327/2022, 328/2022, 329 / 2022 and 330/2022 U/Ss 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act at Police Station Surankote in this connection.
