JAMMU, Oct 5: A general body meeting of Hotel Employees Union, Jammu Province, was held here today under the chairmanship of its president, DR Sharma, wherein the present body was dissolved and the date for the election of the new body was announced.
In the meeting the present Committee of Executive body was dissolved and it was decided that new body will be elected in a general body meeting scheduled to be held on December 1, 2013. It was decided in the meeting that till the election of the new body, no person will act as office bearer and only act as members of the body.
For the preparation of holding general body meeting-cum election, a reception committee was nominated on the occasion.
Balkar Singh, Ashwani Pardan, Mohan Singh, Dilbagh Singh and Rahul Sharma were made as members of the reception committee.
The Union also urged the management of Hotels to provide all facilities that come under labour legislation like security cover, provident fund, ESI, insurance, bonus, gratuity and wages, to their employees.
