SAMBA, Oct 5: Former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia today distributed cheques in a function organized by Rural Development Department at Vijaypur.
Amongst 229 beneficiaries 155 were Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC), 50 Indra Awas Yojna (IAY) and 24 Cattle sheds amounting to Rs. 24 lakh.
While addressing the gathering, Slathia highlighted the Central Sponsored Schemes and asked people of the area to avail benefits of these schemes. He said that the State Government is committed to provide basic facilities at the door steps of the people particularly down trodden areas.
Amongst others Assistant Commissioner Development, Samba, DPO Samba, BDO Vijaypur and Purmandal, Sarpanchs and Punchs of Vijaypur constituency were also present on the occasion.
