JAMMU, Oct 5: Director of School Education, Tushar Kanti Sharma presided a joint meeting of the faculty of State Institute of Education Jammu and Principals of the District Institute of Education Jammu division here today.
The Director interacted with the members on the faculty of SIE and the Principals of DIETs and enquired about the functioning of their respective institutions. During the interaction he was apprised by the Principals of DIETs of Jammu division about the various orientation programmes conducted at the DIET level for addressing the quality component of the school education. He was also briefed by the Principal SIE Jammu, H R Pakhroo about the various training programmes organized by the apex institute to equip the teachers at secondary level with the latest pedagogical techniques in the teaching learning process.
The Principals of the various DIETs of Jammu division requested the Director to provide adequate staff and subject specific lecturers to their institutes to enable them to function in a satisfactorily manner to address the needs of the teachers at the grass root level.
Sharma exhorted the Principals of DIETs and the members of SIE faculty to work with zeal and dedication for the improvement of the education system of the state and for showing good results in the board examination.
Joint Director (EE), Saif Ali, Personnel Officer Directorate of School Education, Sushil Kumar Sharma and Chief Accounts Officer, Sadiq Ali accompanied the Director.
