J&K Plus 2 Officers Association discusses issues of cadre, students

JAMMU, Sept 30:All J&K Plus2 Officers Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Dr Prithvi Paul Raina and discussed the problems being faced by the Plus 2 cadre Officers along with the problems of the students at higher secondary level.
Two districts were discussed in detail with the ground realities. The meet observed that so many posts are lying vacant in District Kathua. Three out of 56 posts of Principal, Lecturers 212 out of 613, Headmasters 07 and others with a total number of 221 posts are lying vacant in Kathua.
Similarly, in District Poonch, vacancies are as; Principals 09 out of 40, Lecturers 152 out of 425, ZEOs 05 out of 11, ZEPOs 05 out of 05, Headmasters 05 out of 73 with overall 177 vacancies out of 559.
Keeping in view the size of vacancies and the peak of current Academic session, the Association decided to approach the new Principal Secretary SED to apprise him about the ground situation.
The Association requested the Lt Governor and Principal Secretary SED to take up the matter as most serious and fill all the vacancies through Departmental promotions in all the High and Higher Secondary schools in the interest of students studying in these areas.
The Association also highlighted other important issues of the cadre, including MACP, regularization of all Incharge incumbents till date , sanction of earned leave in favor of all Principals and Lecturers working in vacations, removal of Pay anomalies of Principals and equivalents, CEOs and equivalents and Jt Directors and equivalents .
