41 bovine animals rescued, 5 smugglers arrested

JAMMU, June 13: Police today rescued 41 bovine animals in Rajbagh area of Kathua and Nagrota area of Jammu and arrested five bovine smugglers.
Rajbagh police in Kathua district seized four load carriers and rescued 22 bovine animals in Sultanpur area.
Sandeep Kumar R/o Rathana, RS Pura and Manish Khullar R/o Chowadi have been arrested while four other bovine smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
Police parties headed by SHO Rajbagh Inspector Surinder Khadyal made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Border Kamaljeet Singh.
Nagrota police seized two trucks bearing Nos. 6556 JK03A and 1868 JK01AE and rescued 19 bovine animals.
Three bovine smugglers were arrested from the truck. They have been identified as Mohammad Sharief, Mohammad Fareed and Mohammad Hussain.
Police parties headed by SDPO Nagrota Khaliq Choudhary and SHO Nagrota Pervez Sajjad made the arrests.
