JAMMU, Oct 3: A man was killed in accident near Fawara Chowk in Akhnoor today afternoon.
As per police sources, a man identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Ram Lal of Sumbal Morh was seriously injured after a bus hit him near Fawara Chowk in Akhnoor.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he breathed his last during treatment.
After conducting autopsy, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case FIR Number 278/2022 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and the bus driver identified as Lavan Singh, a resident of Pallanwala District Jammu has been arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
