Pensioners flay Govt

JAMMU, Oct 6: J&K State Pensioners/ Senior Citizens Welfare Association has criticised the State Government for not addressing the burning issues of the pensioners.
In a meeting of the Association held here today senior citizens including Shakti Gupta, S C Rekhi, B D Verma, KG Khajuria, P N Bhat and others,  strongly criticized the Government for its attitude of neglect and alleged that it miserably failed  to address burning issues of the employees and pensioners. They demanded release of  3rd installment of  6th Pay Commission arrears due from April 2013, enhancement of Medical allowance to Rs 1000 per month, release of 10 % DA installment due from July 2013, implementation of  Mediclaim Insurance policy at par with State employees etc.
They alleged that Chief Minister was only interested in the welfare of his Ministers and legislators while employees and pensioners are being harassed and neglected. They said the senior citizens who are moving from pillar to post for the settlement of these issues need immediate attention of  Omar Abdullah.
