SRINAGAR, Oct 6: A Medical-cum-Veterinary camp was organized by 52 Rashtriya Rifles under 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles/ Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo) at village Sultanpur Kandi, Baramulla on Saturday.
The camp was held under operation ‘Sadbhavana XVI’ and aimed at establishing a rapport between the locals and Army.
A joint team of doctors from Army and civil administration, including lady doctors, veterinary doctor, nursing assistant and paramedics rendered medical assistance to over 520 people, including men, women and children.
Besides, 96 livestock were also treated at the camp. A mobile ‘Youth Employment Guidance Node’ was also established alongside the medical camp by the Army, wherein, interaction and guidance was provided to the local youth about the various career opportunities available. Handouts on various career prospects were distributed and a lecture on ‘Drug Abuse’ was also conducted.
