JAMMU, Oct 6: Stepping up its tirade against the administration of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) for its alleged failure to start construction work on the campus, National Secular Forum (NSF) today took out a strong protest in Jammu University Campus to express dissatisfaction over the functioning of the Central University.
The protesters, led by NSF president Sukhdev Singh, were raising slogans against the CU Vice-Chancellor for not taking note of their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter.
Singh criticized the working of Central University Vice-Chancellor and expressed resentment against delay in starting construction work of the campus. He alleged that the varsity has become a rehabilitation center for retired and corrupt officials. “The varsity administration has violated the norms by recruiting the retired teachers and other staff members who are above 65years,” he said.
Sukhdev Singh alleged that the CUJ administration was ignoring the youth of Jammu region in jobs, which were being awarded to non-State Subjects thereby playing with the emotions and sentiments of Jammuites.
Among those who were present in the protest included, Akshey Sharma, Barket Ali, Vikram Madhyal, Qayoom Malik, Javed, Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Narinder Singh, Rishikesh Rana, Pushpinder Singh, Vicky Thakur and  Ankit Sharma.
