UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: A Panch was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle on the National Highway at Malhar near Kalka Palace, Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Anil Kumar Sharma (34), Panch Ward Number 1 Garnai, son of Ganesh Dutt resident of Garnai Udhampur.
According to the police, the deceased was riding a scooty bearing Registration Number JK14E-8190, which was hit by some unidentified vehicle around 2305 hrs late last night. Locals and Police rushed the victim to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries this morning.
Police has registered the case and started further investigation.
