JAMMU, Oct 8: On 130th day of the ongoing protest by the Jammu based reserved category employees posted in Kashmir, J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina reached the protesting employees at their dharna venue Ambedkar Chowk Jammu.
Ravinder Raina assured the protesting employees that their demand for transfer policy was genuine and there was need of amendment in the Inter District Recruitment Policy. This policy needs amendment and there should be transfer rules with a fixed tenure be incorporated in the Inter District Recruitment Policy, he said.
Raina further informed that the committee framed for transfer policy of Jammu based reserved category employees in Kashmir has submitted its recommendations to Government, which is committed to redress the long pending demand of these employees.
Pertinent to mention that LG Administration has framed a six member committee, headed by Principal Secretary GAD to examine the transfer related issues of the reserved category employees and submit its report to Government in a time bound manner.
The protesting employees, under the banner of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir (AJBRCEAK) are demanding a suitable comprehensive transfer policy for them since the killing of their colleagues by militants in Kashmir.
The protesting leaders said that they were eagerly waiting for tweet of LG Manoj Sinha announcing sigh of relief for them and also waiting the prominent leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party with good news at their protest site.
Alleging that some DDOs in Kashmir, particularly of Rural Development Department, Forest Department and Health Department were forcing the employees to resume their duties, the protesting employees said that their salaries have been stopped.
Stating that target killings have not stopped in Kashmir, the protesting employees reiterated that they were not in such a position to resume their duties. They also announced not to resume their duties till notification for transfer policy is issued.
