Three drug peddlers arrested with heroin, poppy straw

JAMMU, Oct 8: Bishnah and Pouni Chak Police arrested three drug peddlers along with heroin and poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bishnah laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police team recovered 2 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and pillion rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Kamaljodh Singh and Karnail Singh, sons of Yashpaul Singh of Village Laswara, Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 178/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Tilak Raj and SDPO Domana Sunil Singh during checking intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 5 kilograms poppy straw from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The accused was identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Mohan Singh of Tirlokpur District Jammu.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation initiated.
