155 R&B Roads transferred to PMGSY Jammu/Kashmir for upgradation

JAMMU, Oct 10: Government today accorded sanction to the transfer of 155 R&B Roads with a total length of 1272.435 kilometers sanctioned for upgradation under PMGSY III 2022-23 (Batch I) to PMGSY Jammu/Kashmir.
According to the Order, these 155 Roads sanctioned for upgradation by Union Ministry of Rural Development, has been transferred to Chief Engineers PMGSY Jammu/Kashmir on “as is where is basis”, enabling them to execute the sanctioned projects worth Rs 285.15 crore.
“All codal/procedural formalities shall be followed/fulfilled while handing/taking over the roads by the concerned authorities and the ongoing works on these roads, if any, shall be completed/ foreclosed by 15th October 2022 and liabilities accrued, if any, cleared,” the order mentions.
It further states that Chief Engineer R&B Jammu/Kashmir shall ensure that these roads are deducted from existing road length maintained by them.
