JAMMU, Oct 11: Jammu and Kashmir Government and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in Delhi is resorting to worst treatment with employees of different Government departments in the Union Territory by depriving them of salaries and postings as per safety of their life and this is one of the lowest form of Human Rights Violation.
This was stated by J&K AAP spokesperson Gagan Partap while addressing a press conference in Party office, here today. Gagan said that employees working in different Government departments are backbone of system and their services always remain pivotal in public services delivery system and most important role is being played by the daily wagers who work on meagre salaries but perform full duties like a regular employee.
“Since months, thousands of Government employees of different Government departments are sitting on roads in protest for their genuine demands but no one within the Government quarters is bothering to listen to their grievances and these employees have been left on the mercy of God,” he added.
The AAP leader said the employees engaged under special package in Kashmir and reserve category employees working in Kashmir Valley are on protest since months and are demanding safe postings amid risk of lives as attacks have taken place on them in recent times but Government is even failing to ensure their safe postings and now these employees are being harassed through warnings of action which is completely high-handedness on the part of Government.
He said festival season is going on and everyone is preparing for celebration but our employees are on roads and they are demanding nothing extra but their own salaries and other rights. He added that both J&K and Union Government are acting as a mute spectator towards the plight of these Government employees and no concern is being paid towards their general issues. He advised BJP leadership to have some seriousness and sensitive approach towards the employees who are backbone of the system.
