MENDHAR, Oct 7: A student of class 11th was hospitalized after he was severely beaten up by Physical Education teacher during morning assembly at school in Dhar Galoon area of tehsil Mandhar.
The victim, Israr Tanveer, son of Tanveer Ahmed Khan, resident of Dhargaloon was later admitted to Sub District Hospital Mendhar under MLC/MRD No. 8212 by his family members. The parents of the teacher later lodged a written complaint against the teachers Nazir Ahmed and another Master Mohd Yousuf, posted at Govt Higher Secondary School Dhargaloon alleging that teacher Nazir forced the boy to work in his fields a few days back but as the boy refused to oblige the teacher, he gave him the corporal punishment. The SDM directed the DyCEO to initiate inquiry into the matter and submit a report to him.
