JAMMU, Oct 11: Bali Bhagat senior BJP leader and former minister expressed serious concern over the Jammu based protesting reserved category employees in Jammu.
In this context, a deputation of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association (AJBRCEA) led by its President Vipen Kumar met former Minister Bali Bhagat and apprised him of the hardships being faced by them and their family members.
He said it is an irony that the Committee formed by the Lt Governor led Union Territory Administration to ameliorate these employees’ plight has failed to submit its report till date as a result of which these employees continue to suffer with each passing day.
Bali Bhagat said HOD’s of different departments are repeatedly issuing notices and threatening for action against them if they did not resume their duties in vulnerable areas of Kashmir where they are posted. Most of the departments have stopped the monthly salaries of these helpless employees, he said.
Bali Bhagat urged the LG Manoj Sinha to transfer all the reserved category employees in their respective districts along with their posts on security grounds till the complete normalcy returned in the Kashmir Valley. He said constituting of committee and not submitting its report is delay delaying tactics of the administration.
The senior BJP leader said that these employees are not in Jammu for recreation said that it is the duty of the Govt to ensure that they do not become easy fodder for the terrorists’ bullets.
The senior BJP leader gave a patient hearing to the employees’ deputation and assured that their issues will be resolved at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the former minister Bali Bhagat also asked the Government to address issues pertaining to the daily wagers, NHM employees, Anganwari workers, etc who have been protesting since long for their legitimate rights but the Administration seems to be reluctant to end their sufferings by accepting their quite genuine demands.
The senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader made a fervent appeal to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to release the salaries of all the protesting reserved category employees including daily wagers in view of the festive Diwali season ahead so that they along with their families are not deprived.
