PDP leaders playing divisive politics: Raman Suri

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Oct 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today said that the bewildered political leaders of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who have lost their relevance are now playing divisive politics based on region and religion to stay relevant. This way PDP is exposing itself, showing its true colours and displaying short-sightedness, he added.
Raman Suri said that Mehbooba Mufti, during her tenure as Chief Minister, had appointed army of people from a particular region for her government’s publicity and to sustain their salaries/remuneration, the tax payers’ money was used. Today, when the party is out of power, she’s accusing BJP of regional bias, which is ironical as in reality it is PDP that’s trying to divide people on this basis.
He advised PDP to come out of this narrow political discourse and think big, in terms of country’s progress and prosperity.
He added that the demands of PDP like holding talks with Pakistan, resolving Kashmir issue, restoring Article 370 or returning erstwhile state’s flag are nothing but mere rhetoric to confuse the masses and not let youth grow in a new atmosphere where all these subjects have been left redundant.
