JAMMU, Oct 11: National Awami United Party (NAUP)’s president Sandeep Singh today expressed concern over the Government order for sale of beer and liquor on the departmental stores and termed it as a big attack on religious culture.
The Party asked LG administration that on one hand, the Government is raising voice against ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir’ and on other hand they are promoting liquor in the departmental store.
The Party appealed to all Dogra’s of Jammu province to boycott the so called Hindu political party and its all leaders who are becoming a mouthpiece of LG administration in promoting the liquor in Jammu province. “Even RSS has tight-lipped on the burning issues of Jammu province,” he said.
They appealed to the public to raise their voice against liquor policy of the LG administration and stand with National Awami United Party which is in favour of blanket ban of liquor in the Union Territory as par Gujarat State.
It urged the LG administration that there are so many sources to earn revenue for running a Government and stop indulging the young generation into the mud of the ‘Nasha’.
NAUP asked the administration if this is smart city plan, we the people of Jammu and Kashmir not accepting these types of evils which ruin our youth and appealed to withdraw the order immediately.
Manmohan Sudan, general secretary and Vijay Choudhary, Provincial vice president were also present during the press briefing.
