JAMMU, Oct 12: Government today allocated departments among the Law Officers in the Jammu and Srinagar Wings of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
As per the order issued by Achal Sethi, Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Senior Additional Advocate General S S Nanda has been allocated Housing and Urban Development Department including Housing Board, Revenue Department, Jammu Development Authority and Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Senior Additional Advocate General Monika Kohli has been allocated General Administration Department, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, School Education Department except Ramban, Udhampur and Reasi districts and J&K Crime Branch.
The litigation work of Public Works, Industries and Commerce, Geology and Mining Departments, J&K Project Construction Corporation, Fixation and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools, SIDCO and SICOP has been allocated to Additional Advocate General Ravinder Gupta while as Additional Advocate General Amit Gupta has been allocated Health and Medical Education, Power Development Departments, J&K Power Development Corporation and J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency.
The litigation work of Home Department and All Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act appeals have been allocated to Additional Advocate General Raman Sharma while as Additional Advocate General Ranjit Singh Jamwal has been allocated litigation work of Rural Development, Tourism and Jal Shakti Departments and J&K Tourism Development Corporation.
Horticulture, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Departments have been allocated to Vishal Bharti, Deputy Advocate General while as Cooperative Department, J&K Sports Council, Animal/Sheer Husbandry Department, Fisheries Department, Estates Department and Information Department have been allocated to Deputy AG K D S Kotwal.
The litigation work of Transport Department, J&K Road Transport Corporation, Cable Car Corporation, Floriculture including Gardens and Parks and Labour and Employment Department has been allocated to Dy AG Dewakar Sharma while as J&K Service Selection Board, Higher Education and Election Departments have been allocated to Dy AG Rahul Sharma.
Deputy AG Pawan Dev Singh has been allocated Skill Development Department, Civil Aviation and Khadi and Village Industries Board while as litigation work of Information Technology Department, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department and Youth Services and Sports has been allocated to Sunil Malhotra, Government Advocate.
Government Advocate Bhanu Jasrotia has been allocated litigation work of Department of Culture, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Hajj and Aquaf while as Adarash Bhagat, Government Advocate has been allocated J&K IMPARD, J&K Building and Other Construction Welfare Board, J&K Agro Industries Limited and Resident Commissioner, New Delhi.
Government Advocate Eishaan Dadhichi has been allocated Department of Tribal Affairs, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Science and Technology and Hospitality and Protocol Departments while as Sumit Bhatia, Government Advocate has been allocated J&K Legal Services Authority, ARI and Trainings Department, J&K BOPEE, Planning Department and Ranbir Government Press.
Government Advocate Suraj Singh has been allocated School Education Department (Ramban, Udhampur and Reasi districts) and Social Welfare Department.
“The Forest Department, Finance Department including Financial Corporation and any other Department/Corporation that has not been assigned to any Law Officer shall remain with the Advocate General, who shall be assisted by Sumeet Bhatia, Government Advocate in all arbitration matters”, read the order.
As far as Srinagar Wing of the High Court is concerned, litigation work of GAD, Jal Shakti, Revenue Department (Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora districts) has been allocated to Mohsin-Ul-Showkat Qadri, Senior Additional Advocate General.
Additional Advocate General Mushtaq Ahmed Chashoo has been allocated PWD, J&K Project Construction Corporation and J&K ERA while as Additional AG Aasifa Padroo has been allocated Home Department, Anti Corruption Bureau, J&K Crime Branch and all Unlawful Activities Prevention Act appeals.
Additional AG Hilal Ahmed Wani has been allocated Election Department, J&K Forest Development Corporation, Rural Development Department and Information Technology Department while as Additional AG Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh has been allocated School Education and Revenue Department (Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts) and Drug and Food Control Organization and Architect Organization.
Additional AG Alla-ud-Din Ganai has been allocated J&K Building and Other Construction Board, Srinagar Development Authority, J&K Housing Board and Information Department while as Additional AG Fayaz Ahmed Bhat has been allocated Forest Department, SIDCO and SICOP.
Deputy AG Irfan Andleeb has been allocated Hospitality and Protocol, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare and Tribal Affairs Departments while as Dy AG Feroz Ahmed Sheikh has been allocated Social Welfare Department, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Custodian Departments and Chief Town Planner and Haj and Auqaf.
Deputy AG Asif Maqbool has been allocated Power Development Department, J&K PDC, Higher Education Department and Islamic University of Science and Technology while as Deputy AG Mohammad Rais-ud-Din Ganaie has been allocated Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Industries and Commerce and Geology and Mining Departments.
Deputy AG Bikram Deep Singh has been allocated Housing and Urban Development Department, Urban Local Bodies, Civil Aviation Department, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Srinagar Smart City Ltd while as Government Advocate Uthman Gani has been allocated Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and J&K Agro Industries Department and Khadi and Village Board.
Government Advocate Sajjad Ashraf has been allocated Service Selection Board, Estates Department, Youth Services and Sports Department, J&K Sports Council and SKIMS while as Government Advocate Rekha Wangnoo has been allocated Sericulture and Culture Departments.
Government Advocate Insha Rashid has been allocated IMPA, J&K Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, Transport Department, J&K Road Transport Corporation, Floriculture Department including Gardens and Parks and Government press while as Government Advocate Illyas Nazir Laway has been allocated Tourism Department, Cable Car Corporation, Tourism Development Corporation, Labour and Employment Department, J&K Lake Conservation and Management Authority, Revenue Department (Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian) and Science and Technology Department.
Government Advocate Faheem Nisar Shah has been allocated Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Skill Development, Cooperative and Horticulture Department and J&K and Ladakh Finance Corporation.
As per another order, Senior Additional Advocate General Monika Kohli has been allocated criminal acquittal appeals, cases and Habeas Corpus cases in respect of Ramban and Kishtwar (for cases involving punishment of 10 years and more).
Additional Advocate General Satinder Singh Kala has been allocated litigation work of Forest Department including SFC, GAD, IMPA, JKSSB, Department of Law, ARI and Trainings and Health and Medical Education Department before Central Administrative Tribunal Srinagar Bench.
