BANIHAL, Oct 12: Prominent socio-political activist and DDC contested candidate Khari, Hafeeza Bano along with another women activist Gulshan Begum joined National Conference at Banihal today.
They were welcomed by the Party District president for Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen besides block president Banihal, Haji Abdul Ahad Shan, Sarpanch Mohd Rafiq Khan, office secretary Abdul Gani Wani and block vice president Abdul Rashid Shiekh. Hafeeza had fought DDC elections as an independent candidate from Khari-A DDC constituency last year.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaheen said, National Conference will give due honour to each worker. He said women have a larger role to play in politics and NC has long ago recognised women’s voice and involved them in decision making at all levels. He urged the party workers to initiate a mass outreach programme in the district to have a firsthand account of the peoples’ problems.
