JAMMU, Oct 13: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), general secretary Kali Dass has alleged that BJP was pursuing anti-OBC policies in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement senior AIBCU members said that Prime Minister Modi visited JK UT last year on April 25, 2021 but no OBC deputation was allowed to meet.
Home Minster Amit Shah had a three day visit with effect from Oct 3 to 5, 2022. It was his second visit in JK UT since his last in Oct 2021.
Neither the Prime Minister, nor the Home Minster met any OBC deputation in JK UT where as duo met all the people belonging to Paharis, Gujjars, Bakerwals, Rajputs, a Sikh deputation too. This clearly shows that OBCs are deliberately being ignored by this Government.
Before that about 70 Central Ministers visited J&K to listen to the common people but their visits only proved to be the visits of tourists where they always remained skipped from public.
Here in JK UT, the LG inspite of many requests and reminders, never allowed the deputation of OBCs. Only former Lt Governor, G C Murmu allowed OBCs for meeting but the present LG only meet the selective people.
Since 2014 promises made by PM Modi were never transformed into concrete action even after the abrogation of Art 370 under the shadow of which several political parties befooled OBCs in J&K. Similar attitude persists in BJP who never did what they say but contrary to that, everything has been done which was never in BJP’s vision document.
Sale of airports, railways, sea ports, LIC, banks , national highways ete were never in BJP manifesto but have been sold.
He alleged that Gupkar Group and Gapkar (BJP) Group both are at daggers drawn to each other but both have adopted the same reservation act of 2004 which has been specifically mentioned at S. No. 7 of page 42 of the Bill of Abrogation of Art 370 and 35-A. This clears the stand of BJP that Gupkar and Gapkar have deep understanding against the constitutional rights OBCs which are far away in JK UT even after the abrogation of Art 370. The OBCs must remain vigilant against such political parties, he cautioned.
