Mentha oil rises on export, domestic demand

NEW DELHI, Oct 8:  Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 4.70 to Rs 849.90 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in creating positions driven by a rising export as well as domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for October rose by Rs 4.70, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 849.90 per kg, with a business volume of 337 lots.
The oil for November delivery rose by Rs 4.60, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 862.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 54 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in mentha oil at futures trade to pick-up in overseas and domestic demand at spot markets amid lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh. (PTI)
