RAJOURI, Oct 14: A daily wage employee of Power Development Department (PDD) died due to electrocution at Kurbani village in remote Khwas area of Rajouri district today.
Official sources said that the incident took place when he got a high voltage shock on Thursday while repairing electric cables at the village. The seriously injured daily wager, Harjeet Singh, son of Jagat Ram hailing from the same area was taken to a nearby hospital from where the doctors referred him to GMC Jammu. He succumbed to his injuries in the Jammu hospital.
The deceased employee was serving in PDD for the past about 20 years. The poor worker survived with wife and four daughters.
