REASI, Oct 14:Locals today held a protest demonstration against Director Health Services Jammu for his purported reservation over opening of Mother- Child Care Hospital in Reasi, which has already been sanctioned by the Government.
Amid raising of slogans, the protest started from Main Bazar and culminated at Bus Stand Reasi.
According to the protesters, the Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar had convened a meeting at District Hospital Reasi during her visit here today where the Director Health allegedly said that there was no need of such Mother- Child Care Hospital in Reasi.
It is pertinent to mention here that the District Hospital Reasi has been shifted to new location and on the demand of locals, Government has already sanctioned funds for establishing Mother and Child Care Hospital at the old building.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by Tariq Bhat, Sukhdev Sharma, Sudesh Pandotra and others, who announced to meet the MoS Health tomorrow and convenience her about the necessity of MCH at Reasi.
