JAMMU, Oct 8: A District level Art Mela under RMSA was organized by District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Jammu at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, here.
A total of 100 students from different schools of district Jammu participate and showed their creativity talent and innovative ideas though different events like paintings, drawings, portrait, paper work, wooden work and local art of the area.
HR Pakhroo was the chief guest at the valedictory function, who interacted with the participants and lauded their efforts.
Principal DIET, Jammu, Arif Iqbal Malik in his welcome address highlighted the importance of Art Mela and said that the such programmes help to enhance the artistic and creative attitude among younger generations.
SR Raina, FA SIE Jammu, Prof Rakesh Sharma, Fine and Arts Departments, Dr Millan Sharma, Prof Fine and Art Department were the judges in the Competition. Chief guest presented the trophy to the first five winners.
Rani Bano of GHS CHAK Magra Arnia, Riya Devi of GHS Bansultan, Anjal Chib of GHSS Akhnoor, Deeksha Bharti of GGHS Saroor Bishna and Vishali Rajput of GGHS Pallanwala Khour were the prize winners.
Principal Govt Higher Secomdary School Shastri Nagar, Farida Javid was the guest of honour and also spoke on the occasion.
Chief guest also presented certificates to all the participants.
Mr B D conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Principal Diet Jammu presented vote of thanks.
