JAMMU, Oct 15: A meeting of the J&K unit of Canara Bank Retirees’ Association (CBRA) was held today during which welfare issues of the retirees were discussed in detail.
The meeting was presided over by S K Raina (president) while the proceedings of the meeting were hosted by Sushma Jain. The agenda of the meeting was placed by Anil Kumar Pandoh (secretary of the Association).
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Pabitra Kumar Das (Assistant General Manager, Canara Bank, RO Jammu), Arun Kumar Gupta (general secretary, Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation) and Yogesh Kumar (State secretary, Canara Bank Employees Union, J&K). More than 50 retirees participated in the meeting and deliberated on various issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar Gupta informed the members about the present scenario in banking industry and recent developments regarding pension updation and other issues as discussed in recently held AIBEA meeting in Indore while Yogesh Kumar discussed various issues regarding welfare of retirees and assured them of all support and cooperation in case of any need.
Anil Kumar Pandoh, while addressing the meeting, underlined the importance of unity and collective efforts by all to achieve the desired results in all spheres of life. He also told members that such meetings should be held frequently so that retirees can update themselves with latest developments in the banking industry.
