REASI, Oct 16: Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) reiterated its demand of Jammu as separate state with Article 371, in a day-long Party convention in the holy town of Katra.
In an intense brain storming session, DSSP also resolved of expanding the party structure to enhance public reach out. While addressing the gathering, DSSP founder chairman, Ex MP Choudhary Lal Singh said that they will fight with the same spirit till the Jammu is declared as a separate state.
While launching scathing attack on the present regime, Lal Singh said that the policies of this Government are purely against the common man, labourers, farmers, youth and Dogras of Jammu. “They have made open loot of the resources of Jammu and giving everything on the platter to the capitalists which is evidently clear from the recent order of LG Government for allowing sale of liquor in the departmental store of big companies only,” he added.
Dr Hari Dutt Shishu (general secretary of the Party) explained in detail the newly launched manifesto of the Party and got it approved from the general body of the Party. He further said that DSSP is the only party which is exclusively based on the promotion and protection of Dogra culture and its ethnicity.
Sohan Chand (Youth leader and convener of the programme) assured the people of Katra especially youth and the ‘pithus’ of SMVD that their grievances shall be duly addressed by DSSP under the leadership of Choudhary Lal Singh.
Vice president KD Singh Jamwal and senior leader (retired IGP Kamal Saini) addressed the gathering and made a fervent appeal to all to support DSSP to make Jammu a separate state for the safety and security of the Dogra posterity.
Prominent among those who attended the convention include ex-MLA Kanta Andotra, Prof HR Sharma, Advocate BS Jamwal, Balbir Singh, Suman Wazir, Rajinder Singh Bubby, Raju Pahalwan, Vijyant Pathania, Jatinder Papu, etc.
