JAMMU, Oct 16: Nine persons were injured today in two separate road accidents occurred on city outskirts.
According to the reports, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AG-5866 collided head on with a tractor having registration number JK02CB-7284 at Mishriwala on Jammu-Akhnnoor Road, this evening.
As per the reports, nine passengers of the mini-bus received injuries and they were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for medical treatment while a case in this connection was registered at Police Station Kanachak and further investigation started.
The injured passengers were identified as Rita Devi (65) wife of Bansi Ram of Dhabbe (Mishriwala), Sahib Singh (60) son of Sarab Singh of Shama Chak, Sunita Sharma (46) wife of Rajiv Sharma of Dhabbe, Jyoti Anand (46) son of Dwarka Nath of Panjore (Kanachak), Manju (35) wife of Kulwant of Pakhiyan (Mishriwala) and Jyoti Sharma (45) wife of Darshan Sharma of Kalyanpur (Mishriwala).
Meanwhile, an auto (load carrier) this morning hit a bike at Garhi Colony near Jourian, resulting into injuries to three persons. The injured persons identified as Roshan Lal (30) son of Rashpaul Chand of Bandwal Colony (Jourian) and Sansar Chand (55) son of Thoru Ram of Prangla (Khour) as well as his 25-year-old son Roshan Lal, were rushed to Government Hospital Jourian from where they were referred to GMCH Jammu after providing first-aid.
Khour Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
