SAMBA, Oct 16: Police today arrested five gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered stake money of Rs 55200 from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a Police team of PS Samba raided the spot near Govt Middle School, Budhwani, Samba and arrested five gamblers along with stake money of Rs 55200/ besides two sets of playing cards.
The gamblers were identified as Sahil, son of Girdhari resident of Budhwani Samba, Rishu son of Kasturi Lal, resident of Ward number 05, Samba, Shubham Singh Sambyal, son of Ashok Singh of Mandi Thalora Samba, Sanjay Kumar son of Manohar Lal of Chak Manga and Deepak Sharma son of Khem Raj of Bedi Samba.
All the gamblers have been booked in a case FIR umber No 252/2022, under section 13 of Gambling Act.
