JAMMU, Oct 17: Bahu Fort Police today arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for last 15 years.
“Acting on the information regarding the presence of the absconder in district Kishtwar, a special team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali raided the suspected location with the help of local police and arrested the absconder namely Divender Singh son of Hira Lal of Paddar (Kishtwar),” a police spokesman said.
He said the absconder was evading his arrest for last 15 years in a case FIR Number 67/2006 U/S 279 /337/338 RPC of Police Station Bahu Fort. “The accused shall be produced in the court of MM Magistrate Jammu,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
