KISHTWAR, Oct 18: In its continuous drive against the anti-social elements, Kishtwar Police detained 2 more notorious drugs smugglers from different locations of the district and recovered 102 grams of charas like substance.
“Kishtwar Police developed specific information related to sale of narcotics drug in Kishtwar town and accordingly special Nakas were established at different locations of Kishtwar,” a police spokesman said.
He said different teams comprising of PSI Manmeet Singh and PSI Surjeet Singh headed by Incharge SHO Police Station Kishtwar Inspector Mohd Naseer under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Kishtwar were successful in arresting 2 drug peddlers from Old Wine Shop and Girinagar (Kishtwar) from whose possession charas (cannabis) like substance weighing about 102 g was recovered.
“The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Younis son of Farooq Ahmed of Tatani Saroor and Ravees Ahmed Shah son of Ayoub Shah of Girinagar (Kishtwar),” the spokesman said, adding, two separate FIRs viz FIR Number 252/2022 and FIR Number 253/2022 under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
