Two thieves nabbed, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Oct 18: Nowabad Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two thieves recovering stolen articles from their possession.
“Acting on a theft complaint pertaining to stolen of 11000 rupees, a sewing machine and a mobile phone received on October 12 from a person namely Dass Ram son of Sham Lal, resident of Puran Nagar (Talab Tillo), a case FIR Number 118/2022 U/S 454/380/ IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started,” a police spokesman said.
He said a team of Police Station Talab Tillo led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Vijay Kumar assisted by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo PSI Sonu Choudhary with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up two accused persons namely Sahil Kumar alias Balla son of Mohinder Paul of Puran Nagar (at present Jogi Camp, Gole Gujral, Jammu) and Rahul Paghotra son of Bua Ditta of Puran Nagar, Jammu.
“During questioning, both the accused confessed their involvement in the theft case and on their disclosure, 2 sewing machine, a Scooty bearing registration number JK02AS-9663, another Scooty (Maestro) bearing chassis number MBLJF32ABE GH13983, two gas cylinders (one HP, one Indian), 5 gas stoves, 1 Water Motor, 1 welding machine, 1 Iron cutter, 6 mobile phones and 8 bicycles, were recovered,” the spokesman added.
He said further investigation of the case was going on.
