3 yrs RI to 2 brothers in attempt to murder case

JAMMU, Oct 9: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, Kartar Singh today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to Faryad Ali and Jamal Din of Raipur Morh Domana after 20 years trial and investigation.
According to the police case, on June 27, 1993 the complainant Shambo Nath was admitted in an injured condition in the hospital where his statement was recorded by the SHO in which he stated that the accused were having enmity with him over a piece of land and Saleema, wife of Alam Din had filed an FIR against him under the provisions of Section 354 RPC. On the fateful day, the victim was shot at by the accused persons.
After hearing Special Public Prosecutor LK Sharma with Advocate Vishal Sharma appearing for the State whereas Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi for the accused, Principal Sessions Judge acquitted four accused as prosecution failed to prove the charges against them. However, the court convicted Faryad Ali and Jamal Din and awarded three years RI and fine of Rs 10,000 each.
