Question-Hour wasted everyday for 20 to 30 minutes: Mir

Excelsior Correspondent
SRINAGAR, Oct 9:  Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mir Saifullah today expressed concern that Question-Hour was wasted for 20 to 30 minutes everyday.
We are setting a wrong precedence in the House by allowing other issues over Question-Hour, Mr Mir said, adding today also half an hour of the Question-Hour was  wasted.
He said it was agreed that Question-Hour will not be disturbed and all members will raise their issues during  Zero-Hour.
However, Speaker Mubarak Gul said he was allowing members to Speak before Question-Hour to raise some important issues.
During this session, most part of the Question-Hour was wasted and less than ten questions were taken up during the entire session which commenced on September 30 and ended today after Speaker adjourned the House Sine Die.
Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) member Advocate Haq said members were using unparliamentary language against each other in the House.
We feel hurt when we see on You Tube members addressing each other using unparliamentary language, he said and appealed Speaker to direct members to show respect against each other.
Mr Gul said he will order to expung the words which he think were unparliamentary in the House records.
