JAMMU, Oct 9: A newly married woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Kanachak area.
As per reports, 30-year-old Pooja, wife of Balbir of Kanachack, allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
Family members spotted her unconscious and immediately shifted her to nearby Health Centre where doctors pronounced her as brought dead.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to the mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for legal formalities.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
