JAMMU, Oct 21: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today asked Jammu and Kashmir BJP leadership to get the issues of employees resolved through Government instead of holding meetings, issuing statements and befooling people by shedding crocodile tears.
In a press statement issued, AAP’s senior leader and chairman of SC, ST and OBC committee Yashpal Kundal said that employees engaged under special package as well as employees of reserve category serving in Kashmir valley are on protest dharna since long and they are demanding nothing extra except their safety and security.
He said that for months together both Government and BJP remained insensitive towards issue of these employees and now after AAP stepped in to highlight their grievances, BJP has started to shed crocodile tears with an aim to save its skin.
“BJP is in power at the centre whereas J&K is having a proxy Government of BJP and BJP can easily get the issues of these employees resolved through Government.” said Kundal who however said that BJP is still insensitive and has followed policy of issuing statements instead of going for anything concrete for protesting employees.
“BJP has framed a committee of leaders who are tasked to look into the grievances of these employees but no one can tell the exact aim of this committee when demands of employees are clear and need of hour is a decision from Government to solve issues,” Kundal said.
He further accused BJP of merely befooling people by doing these illogical things and shedding crocodile tears instead of taking concrete steps. Kundal asked Jammu and Kashmir LG administration to ensure that all the genuine demands of employees on protest are addressed on priority without any further delay.
“We must understand that every human being on this planet is concerned for his safety and security and so are these employees who are not demanding extra money but safety of life,” he added.
