JAMMU, Oct 10: On the direction of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Jammu Municipal Corporation has started thermal fogging in all the schools and education institutions running in Jammu to stop the breeding of mosquitoes to avoid dengue threat to students and staff.
Kiran Wattal, Commissioner JMC directed the Health Wing of JMC to start Anti dengue Campaign. A team of Officers from JMC today started thermal fogging from Ranbir Higher Secondary School, Parade Ground. The campaign was formally launched by Director School Education, Tushar Kanti along with Health Officer, JMC Vinod Sharma and Chief Education Officer, Tarsem Lal.
Later on, the Health Officer JMC along with the field staff during the Anti dengue campaign, also visited the Government Women College (Parade), Police Control Room (Parade), Arya Kanya Vidyalaya (Mohalla Afghana), Oriental Higher Secondary School (Pacca Danga), Jain Hr Sec School (Pacca Danga) and Govt High School (Kachi Chawni) for thermal fogging.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Wing of JMC, demolished and removed the juggies raised by one Gurdev Singh at Sector number 4, near Peer Baba Sanjay Nagar, Jammu. The action was taken to implement the orders of the J&K Special Tribunal, Jammu.
