UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: Traffic Police seized a truck having fake registration number.
As per official sources, during checking a team from Traffic Police Department led by DySP Traffic Himmat Singh at Bali Nalla and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02BQ-7887.
On seeing the cops, the driver escaped from the spot leaving behind the truck.
During scrutiny of the documents, it came to fore that the truck was having fake registration number and was smuggling cattle as 17 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started. Moreover, all the 17 bovines were also rescued.
