RAJOURI, Oct 10: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), today organised an artificial limb distribution-cum-medical camp at Kanga Gali village here near LoC as part of the ongoing Operation Sadbhavna.
The aim of the camp was to extend the better medical and health care services for the people hailing from remote and far flung areas.
During the camp, 15 artificial limbs, prepared by United Artificial Limb Centre, Ludhiana were presented to 13 beneficiaries. The project was conceived and executed on the request of differently abled local populace hailing from Rajouri and Poonch districts.
In addition to this a team of Army and paramedics from Civil Administration, including one lady medical officer, examined the patients and distributed free medicines. A dental chair was also established to provide dental care to the needy persons. Approx 473 patients were treated during the medical camp.
