SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, and Prof. M. P. S. Ishar, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here this evening.
The two Vice Chancellors briefed the Governor, who is Chancellor of both the Universities, about common issues relating to the functioning of the main campuses and the off-site campuses of both the varsities.
The Governor and the Vice Chancellors also discussed other important issues relating to enhancing the teaching and research capacities and developing centres of excellence in both the institutions.
Navin K. Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Governor, was present during the discussions.
