R.S PURA, Oct 28: BDC Chairman, Tarsem Lal Sharma along with Sarpanch, Gurdeep Singh Saini today received officers appointed by the Government under Back to Village Programme (B2V) 4, on their arrival at Panchayat Gandli here.
Anjali Fotedar, an officer appointed under B2V programme visited various villages of the Panchayat and took stock of ongoing development works there and also inaugurated many development works.
Earlier, Saini and other representatives of the Panchayat placed many problems of the Panchayat before Fotedar and termed B2V programme as a welcome step under which development works in Panchayat have seen spurt.
The Sarpanch said that under this programme most of the demands have been fulfilled but even today there are some legitimate demands which are yet to be met.
He said that demands like security for Sarpanches, playground facility for children, construction of drain in village Kool Kothe, proper facilities of electricity, education and health for the smooth functioning of the Panchayat were raised on this occasion.
The Sarpanch further said that more and more families should get benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
BDC Chairman, Tarsem Lal Sharma said that BeV programme is a better initiative under which development works are being done at a rapid pace in Panchayats.
Anjali Fotedar said due to the efforts of Panchayat representatives, development works have been done in a better way in the Panchayat and the demands which have been placed before them will be conveyed to the government.
Baby kits and sports items were also distributed by the team of appointed officers in the presence of Panchayat representatives.
Naib Sarpanch Pyarelal, Panch Satya Devi, Panch Pawan Singh, Amar Singh Charak, Sardar Harjinder Singh and Som Nath Darshan were also present on the occasion.
