JAMMU, Oct 30: President of All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) and Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa Jindrah Anil Sharma today inaugurated a Paramilitary Dry Canteen facility in village Jindrah of block Dansal.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Sharma said that the Canteen Facility would be available for all local inhabitants of 10 to 12 Panchayats and they can buy the daily household items from this dry canteen with the applicable discount. He also informed that the Canteen prices are low as the goods sold are exempt from taxes.
The AJKPC president and the local people said that the opening of this canteen in their vicinity would be quite helpful for them to get consumer usable easily on concessional price.
The canteen has been allotted to Kulbir Singh, ex-serviceman and a local resident. Singh assured the people that he would make his best effort in providing the best service to the people. He also informed that at the outlet initially only packed daily used item would be sold and it may increase with the requirement of the people.
Prominent people who remained present and spoke on the occasion include Rajinder Singh, Ranjit Singh, Pritam Singh (ex-Sarpanch), Shankar Dass, Karan Singh, Deewan Chand, Sat Dev Singh, Karnail Singh, Som Dutt, Vir Singh, Hari Om and Kulvir Singh.
