RAMBAN, Oct 30: Banihal Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Banihal during checking at T-Chowk intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK03H-5676 which was on its way from Srinagar towards Jammu.
During checking, police team recovered 460 grams of cannabis from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Qaisar Ali Lone, son of Gul Mohd Lone of Lalipora, Malapora District Anantnag.
A case FIR Number 248/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started. Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Mohd Afzal Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Nisar Ahmed Khoja and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
