SAMBA. Oct 11: Defeating Kashmir division in the summit clashes, Jammu boys lifted the Under-14 and Under-19 boys’ title trophies in the State Level Inter-District Kabaddi Championship, which concluded, here today.
The Championship was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of Naveen Aggarwal, Director General of Sports and under the overall supervision of Jarpal Singh, DYSSO, Samba.
Earlier, in Under-14 boys, Jammu defeated Kashmir in an easy contest by 19 points, with the final scores as (45-26). Jammu boys displayed brilliant catching and raiding skills and dominated the game from the word go, while Kashmir boys on the other had no answer to the ploy adopted by Jammu division boys.
In Under-19 boys, Jammu division thrashed Kashmir division by a big margin of 34 points (70-36). Jammu division boys played as a cohesive unit and put their Kashmir counterparts under pressure very much from the beginning of the match.
Meanwhile, DySP, Hilal Bhat and Sarpanch Chaman Lal distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
