LPGEF demands DA installment, Med allowance hike

JAMMU, Oct 31: All J&K Low Paid Govt Employees Federation (LPGEF) has demanded release of DA installment due from July this year and hike in the Medical Allowance of the Government employees and the pensioners.
In a meeting of the members of Federation held here today under the chairmanship of Jagdish Raj Sharma, its president, the members strongly criticised the UT Administration for not releasing the pending 4 % DA installment of the employees and pensioners due from Ist July 2022. They pointed out that Central Government has already released DA but the UT Administration in J&K UT has yet to provide to its employees and pensioners.
They strongly condemned the Government for not increasing Medical Allowance of the employees and pensioners in J&K. They said these hapless employees are being provided just Rs 300 as Medical Allowance per month. It should be hiked to Rs 1000 per month as being paid to the Central Government employees.
Federation president also demanded revision of minimum daily wage @ Rs 600 and release of pending wages of the daily rated employees of various departments. They also sought hike of the honorarium of Lamberdars, Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, NYC, NYK and others. LPGEF chief also demanded implementation of old pension scheme in J&K UT like Punjab.
